Core Brand Package
The foundational visual identity standards that define how Ecrebo looks and feels.
01.1 — Logo System
Logo & Wordmark
The Ecrebo Wordmark
The Ecrebo wordmark is set in a proprietary rounded typeface. It is always lowercase — never “Ecrebo” or “ECREBO”. It must only ever be reproduced from the approved master artwork files. It must never be redrawn, approximated in another font, or recreated by typing.
Clear Space
Always maintain a clear space around the logo equal to the cap-height of the wordmark on all sides. No graphic elements, text, or imagery may enter this zone.
Minimum Sizes
Usage Rules
- Use only the approved master artwork files — never recreate the logo
- Use the white version on all dark backgrounds without exception
- Reproduce on approved backgrounds: white, navy, purple
- Maintain minimum clear space on all sides at all times
- Recreate the wordmark by typing in any font — even similar rounded fonts
- Stretch, skew, rotate, or distort the logo in any direction
- Add drop shadows, outlines, gradients, or effects to the logo
- Place on a busy, patterned, or low-contrast background

01.2 — Colour Palette
Colour System
Primary Palette
These are the core colours that define the Ecrebo brand. Use them consistently across every touchpoint.
Secondary Palette
Supporting colours used for gradients, hover states, and UI depth.
Colour Combinations
Usage Rules
- Use Ecrebo Navy for the logo on white or light backgrounds
- Use white for the logo on navy or purple backgrounds
- Use cyan on navy for stats and highlights
- Use navy as the primary dark surface across all materials
- Use a cyan logo or text on a purple background
- Create new brand colours outside this palette
- Use cyan as a background colour for large areas
- Use any off-palette greys or blues not listed in the colour palette
01.3 — Typography
Type System
Type System
Ecrebo uses two typefaces across all communications. DM Sans for headings and display, and Manrope for body text. Together they create a bold, modern, and highly legible brand voice.
Used for all headlines, display text, major statistics, and high-emphasis communications. Always at weight 700 or 900. Where unavailable, the text must be bold.
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
0123456789 & £ % + →
Used for all body text, UI labels, navigation, captions, and functional text. The text must always be regular.
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
0123456789 & £ % + →
This typeface appears in existing Ecrebo expo artwork and is documented here for reference only. It must not be used for any new artwork as it is not a Google font and will be phased out.
Typography Rules
- Use DM Sans for all major headlines and display text
- Use Manrope for body text and UI elements
- Use cyan for highlighted words within headlines on dark backgrounds (if applicable)
- Use any other typeface outside DM Sans, Manrope and Neuzeit Grotesk
- Mix typefaces within a single headline
- Use cyan text on light/white or purple backgrounds
- Set body text below 14px in any digital communication

01.4 — Imagery
Image Style Guide
Image Direction
Ecrebo imagery spans two contexts: real retail environments (checkout hardware, shoppers, receipts, POS terminals) and people in authentic retail moments. All imagery should feel purposeful — never generic stock photography.
Five approved content categories — always source, generate or commission within these directions. These images are examples only.
Five Content Categories
Image Treatment Rules
- Real retail environments with natural lighting and depth
- Diverse shoppers and retail staff in authentic moments
- Close-ups of POS hardware, receipts, and phones in context
- High-resolution images for print
- Generic stock imagery with exaggerated smiling people
- Abstract tech visuals — glowing circuit boards, floating data icons
- Heavily filtered or over-retouched photography
- Illustrations or flat design graphics outside the approved brand style
01.5 — Iconography
Icon System
Icon System
Ecrebo uses a consistent line-icon style throughout digital communications. Icons appear in two treatments: standalone line icons on light backgrounds, and line icons inside a rounded-square purple background for feature blocks on the website and pitch deck.
Icon Rules
- Scale proportionally
- Use Ecrebo Navy for icons on light backgrounds
- Use white icons on the purple rounded-square backgrounds
- Mix filled and line icon styles in the same context
- Use icons from different libraries without adapting to the Ecrebo style
- Apply colour to individual icon elements — icons are monochrome
- Rotate or flip icons unless it is semantically correct

01.6 — Graphic Elements
Background Graphics
Background System
The diagonal line texture and defined background surfaces form the tactile foundation of the Ecrebo brand. Applied consistently across digital and print, they create a unified environment at every touchpoint.
